Aspirin Possible Side Effects:
? Stomach upset and gastrointestinal bleeding (which might cause or activate gastric or duodenal ulcers and delay healing).
? Produce occult bleeding.
? Triple the excretion of vitamin (necessary for the growth and repair of body tissue cells, blood vessels, bones, and teeth).
? May produce such allergic reactions as hives, swelling, rashes, asthma attacks, sneezing, shortness of breath, and inflammation of the nasal mucous membrane.
? Prolong bleeding. (Because it is a blood thinner, it can dangerously potentiate the effects of anticoagulants.
? Can cause dizziness and tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
? Can deplete your body of such needed nutrients as vitamins A, complex, C, calcium, and potassium.
Drug Interactions:
? Can react adversely with corticosteroids (drugs used to reduce inflammation, swelling, and relieve allergic reactions.
? Increase the hypoglycemic action of anti-diabetic medications.
? Can block therapeutic effects of certain anti-gout medications.
? Can interfere with proper therapeutic function of anti-epileptic medications.
