Play It Safe
Five minutes after exercising, check your pulse. Count the beats for ten seconds and then multiply by six (or count for fifteen seconds and multiply by four). If your pulse is over 120, you were pushing too hard. Wait five more minutes and check yourself again. Your pulse should be back below 100. If it isn’t, ease up and pull back on your exercise regimen.
